Google wants more partners Android devices as start treating as does the company itself with its own Nexus line. Nexus devices get updates directly from Google and therefore always run the latest software. Many hardware partners and providers, however, have customized Android version running on their devices and Google updates must first be processed by the providers or partners before they go to the end user. The result is that only a small part of all Android users on the latest version of the operating system is running.
The failure to update a lot of Android phones is problematic for Google on several fronts. Quite apart from the fact that all its software innovations until months later seen with users, there remain several bugs and potential security problems wandering in the older versions of Android. For developers, it’s also pretty annoying to constantly take into account a variety of different Android versions.
According to Bloomberg, Google is considering to hang conditions on Android. As partners, Google’s version of Android will be able to offer, they should in the future stick to Google’s update schedule. If they do not want to do it possible with the bare version of Android (AOSP) in which Google services are processed
