The rollout of Android Pay is announced on the official Android blog. The payment service now only works in the United States. When Android Pay in Netherlands start is unknown.
Android Pay works on all Android phones with NFC. Also, there should be at least 4.4, Kitkat installed. The payment service can be used to update the Google Wallet app and open the app.
At the moment Android Pay works with payment cards of many large US banks, including American Express, Bank of America, Discovery and PNC. In the coming days there will be more banks added.
Apple Pay
Android Pay is a major competitor to Apple’s own payment service, Apple Pay. This service is not yet available here: apple pay only works in the United States and the United Kingdom
