Android wear now also works with iPhone -update – One More Thing

The Apple Watch has just gotten a lot of new competitors. Google has announced that Android Wear-watches also work with the iPhone. The LG Watch Urbane is the first Android smart watch officially receive the support.

Google has released an app called android wear for iOS, which serves as a hub between the platforms. The functionality of android wear watches with iOS is limited to notifications, fitness and Google Apps.

Google reports that new android wear watches, among other Huawei (photo below), Asus, Motorola and get support for iOS. Furthermore, an iPhone 5 and iOS 8.2 or later later. The integration is not as complete as the Apple Watch, but more complete than those of the Pebble Time

Older smart watches work unofficially

Official working android wear for iOS only with new smart watches Huawei, Asus and Motorola. Unofficially it also works on virtually any existing android wear watch that Android 1.3 Wear running.
