Google makes free course design for Android developers – Android World

To help beginning developers started and advanced developers to provide more depth, Google has already placed several free courses on Udacity. The newest course focuses on Android design for developers.

The new course begins with an introduction of Google in Android design. By design, it is just that the use of pixels, but on Android is nearly always chosen DP (density independent pixels). This requires a different way of thinking and it is rammed into the first class.

The following classes focus on elements of Material Design. So goes lesson two of the areas that are used in Materials, Lesson 3 on bold design, lesson 4 about animation and the last lesson on how to adjust your app for multiple screens.

The lessons are provided by the known Google Design Advocates Roman Nurik and Nick Butcher.

Availability

The new course is free to follow through Udacity. The course is also part of the Android Nano Degree online certification with various Android-related courses and access to coaches who can help you. This Nano Degree is designed so that as a starting developer builds an extensive portfolio. Achieving the Nano Degree takes about 6 to 12 months and costs $ 200 per month. When the Nano Degree earned within 12 months, you get 50% of the course fee.
