From Google Wallet for Android Pay
Google could pay all of its own solution for non-contact with you smartphone, called Google Wallet. Android Pay more or less replaces Google Wallet, Wallet which still persists with a new focus: the transfer of money to other users. Pay with Android users can contactless payments with their smartphone from their own account. Debit cards and credit cards, among other Visa and Mastercard can be added.
The advantage of paying with Android Pay is that there is an extra layer of security is added. Namely the seller gets no credit card details of the customer within a temporary virtual card is created where exactly enough money to be able to pay the amount. Android Pay works with devices running Android 4.4 and higher who have an NFC chip on board and work with terminals already available in Dutch stores are and where contactless payments are possible.
Soon, it is also possible to deal directly with Android apps Pay. Google already has a substantial list of companies able to attract bond that will support the new payment function, such as Wish, Domino’s, Airbnb and Expedia.
and the Netherlands and Belgium do?
Probably Netherlands and Belgium are not the top of the ‘wish list’ for Google to roll out Android Pay. We heard this week, with the announcement of Google Play gift cards in the Netherlands that the rules for financial services providers in the Netherlands are quite tricky. Presumably Android Pay first introduced in the UK. In that country were already more services from Google Wallet is available.
