Microsoft buys company behind Android lockscreen app Echo – Tweakers

I find it quite strange, and also a pity that Microsoft is increasingly less concerned with Windows Phone. I bought a second out of curiosity Lumia 930 and Windows Phone, and Windows Mobile 10 preview works really fine and fast. I have five years and that Android is starting to bore anything.

Unfortunately, the quality (not quantity) of the apps on Windows Phone something that I fall over. Spotify for example, you can not scroll quickly through a playlist, and there are no sorting options, so if you have a playlist of 500 songs you are literally 30 seconds to scrolling. WhatsApp also lacks features that are already long in the Android app such as search or archive chats.

Now Microsoft especially that focuses on apps for Android and iOS (which are often better than Google Android apps) make it less obvious that people go to WP. I also see in the forums on Windows Central really about 40% of WP users was being too, and that they are also careful to look for alternatives. Pity, because Windows Phone was just such a nice OS what the competition benefited. Unfortunately they still were too late into the market and missed too many functions in the beginning. I therefore think it is also a logical step from MS to focus more on Android and iOS, and also so such businesses to buy.
