The app is for some Android users already available through the Google Play Store and plunged earlier on as so apk file Apkmirror.
Google Street View is in Dutch Play Store even if single app, but still only works in Google Maps. The new version seems to be two pulled out, it is not clear whether the functionality actually disappears from Google Maps. Possible for the individual app only an extended version.
Apkmirror reports that there are indeed in it new features such as the option to view 360 degree photos of other users, or these images themselves easily create and upload. It is also added support for 360-degree cameras.
Google has so far made no official announcements about Google Street View. The company puts the past few months more and more in 360 degree video, for example through support from Youtube and a partnership with GoPro for its own 360-degree camera.
