Apple does not (yet ) does not allow to run iOS apps on your Mac, but you still want your favorite app on your desktop? Then there is BlueStacks. Had the Android emulator for Mac has a major update which now makes it very easy to install apps and games.
You can now immediately download the new BlueStacks and start. The built-in Android environment lets you log in with a Google Account and directly apps from the Play Store to download and use.
Of course, a Mac is not made apps turning, and Apple will therefore probably never allow iOS apps to run on OS X, so BlueStacks manages to make a nice translation. Most apps scales reasonable and the MacBook trackpad supports multitouch.
Despite the
not always practical ministry is BlueStacks a practical addition for all those apps on their Macs to use, or would just like to see how the Android version of a particular app actually looks like.
After installing BlueStacks it is useful to English keyboard layout instead of putting Dutch, otherwise symbols not match those on your physical keyboard. Do this as follows:
- Go to All Apps
- Select Settings
- Select Keyboard settings Change
- under Physical keyboard Click on the AT Translated Set 2 keyboard
- choose click keyboard layout
- all out except English (US)
BlueStacks is a free download outside of the App Store.
