Android One to Pakistan with QMobile A1 – Android World

One Android, the operating system version for emerging markets is also being launched in Pakistan. Android One here will be delivered to the QMobile A1, so there are now seven emerging markets where Android One is available.

With the launch of Android One Google is trying a new group of people to bond. By offering the latest version of Android, combined with cheap, but reasonable performance hardware, the search giant makes smartphones accessible to emerging markets. Earlier we saw Android One already appear in several countries, including Turkey with General Mobile.

Google announced today that in Pakistan the first device One with Android on the market will come. For this, the company has sought cooperation with QMobile which will launch the A1. The price is 11,500 Pakistani rupees, equivalent to about € 102. For this you get a smartphone with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, Android 5.1, 4.5 FWVGA display and a 5 megapixel camera on the back. By offering these relatively inexpensive hardware Google will generate an even greater market share, especially from people who have not previously used a smartphone.
