NVIDIA Tegra Note 7 gets Android 5.1 update – Android World – Android World

One of my favorite devices of recent years, the 7 inch NVIDIA Tegra Note. This tablet is not officially available in the Netherlands, but fortunately import not so difficult. The tablet comes with Android 4.4 KitKat, but can now be updated to Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The NVIDIA Tegra Note 7 is a tablet that went compete with the Nexus 7 from Google and some of the pros, but also had disadvantages with respect to said tablet. Advanced am I in this article do not in, but the review we now eighteen months ago published course, you can always take a little longer. This tablet is still one of the most delicate tablets I’ve ever used, and even though I’m sitting on a time and there are some cracks in this case is still a device that often lasts into the backpack.

There is 1GB of RAM present, 16GB expandable memory and the processor, the NVIDIA Tegra 4. The display resolution is 1280×800 pixels, there are two front speakers present and there is also a direct Stylus included to operate the screen. The battery has a capacity of 4100mAh, the device weighs 320 grams, measures 199 x 119 x 9.6mm and the tablet already turned on Android 4.4 KitKat.

However, Via Twitter NVIDIA showed this week that for these 7 inch tablet Android 5.1 update Lollipop was waiting in line with his recent big brother, the NVIDIA Shield Tablet, which was to update from the end of May. This update can also be installed on the Shield portable, a handheld with Android, but that device was not officially get in the Netherlands. NVIDIA uses an almost stock version of Android, with only a few own apps that count on one hand and a shell around Android is not present, which the manufacturer has been praised often.
