Second Android M-released preview, update follows – Android World

Google promised in late June a new preview version of Android M, the next major update for Android, free to give. With some delay that happened today. An over-the-air update in the coming days will be out.

The new version of Android M undoubtedly contains a whole range of problems solved and mostly much further permission related changes. In Android M System permissions is completely overhauled, allowing users much better select which apps can access the system functions. Google has the Android M Preview 2 above tweaked some of the new permissions.

Availability

The new version of Android M is now available for download as a factory image. If you want to install it, follow the instructions here with these factory images. If you are already currently running on your Android M Nexus 5 Nexus or Nexus 6 9 and prefer to wait for the update, you must have a little patient, according to Google, this rolled out in the coming days
