Google simplifies local sharing between iOS and Android | NOW – Latest news … – NU.nl

The functionality Nearby named, works through a combination of bluetooth, wifi and sound that is not absorbed by the human ear. Thus, two devices communicate with each other and they can send files to each other.

Nearby is platform-independent and can be installed in both iOS and Android apps. The function is released through a new version of Google Play Services. Through this app Google adds new features gels reproduced without being tied to the latest version of Android operating system.

The Nearby function or only works from Android 2.3. There are already several apps that use Nearby, including Trello and Pocket Casts. Through this latest app to view users as quickly as podcasts everybody listens.

Nearby is a long time in development. The name popped up in October last year in the Google Play Services of code, then still under the name Copresence. Even when we read about a simple way of exchanging data between iOS and Android
