BlackBerry Passport
BlackBerry and Android, This combination is increasingly common lately in the news. Thus, the company would work with the BlackBerry Venice, a device with sliding keyboard which we have already seen several times on photos and renders. Also beginning appeared this month about Android that would run on the Passport of the company, it diagnostic device with its square screen.
The information we saw consisted of a few photos and a short and fuzzy movie of the device, but now there is a much better video appeared online via the YouTube channel of Duda Rocha Tec. The device that we see is the Silver Edition of Passport and there is in particular to find a widescreen option in the quick-settings menu. This enables applications that do not scale well be better spent on the square screen. We also see several Google applications, such as the Play Store, Photos, or Google Chrome come by.
From June this year, stabbing the rumors that BlackBerry and Android device will bring out its head. The company would like to show that their BlackBerry Enterprise Service 12 (BES12), the management system for managing and securing smartphones also works well on other operating systems such as Android.
Availability
and whether BlackBerry actually going to come to Venice or an Android variant of the Passport is still the question. Perhaps the company’s decision to make Android also available for current BlackBerry Passport holders, so that they can install Android, but it is still just guesswork.
