LG succeeds Samsung, which earlier this week announced monthly henceforth to release updates for its Android devices. Both manufacturers do this after recent major Android vulnerability Stage Fright came to light.
Stage Fright exploited a vulnerability in the video of Android. This makes it possible to hide malicious code in a video file. Many apps download videos that was sent automatically by default. T-Mobile it also changed though MMS policy.
“LG will release security updates on a monthly basis so that providers can make available to customers,” said LG against Wired . “We think that these important steps to LG customers show that safety is our highest priority.”
So far, many Android users had to wait long for updates. When Google updates roll out, Android manufacturers determine when and which devices are made available
