Swype for Android provides access to Star Trek keyboards – Tablets Magazine

Nuance Communications, the developer of Swype, the Android application key has provided a significant update. The update not only adds new emoji, but also offers users access to the new Swype Store.

The Swype Keyboard is a popular alternative to the standard Android keyboard. One of the reasons it is so popular, is partly due to the ability to customize the keyboard as you want, for example, in the colors of the favorite football team. With the new update to the Android version of Swype you now have access to forty new themes, bringing the total number of themes already nearly eighty tap. Nineteen of these new themes are all based on the Star Trek franchise.

These are called the official Star Trek license, so the themes are not cheap. The second change you mind holding down the enter button: there is in fact the emoji keyboard hidden. The emoji are divided into different categories such as ‘recent’ and ‘expressions’. It all looks a bit like what offer other popular keyboards, but Nuance Communications indicates that there “is an awful lot of attention paid to detail, giving you quick and easy you can select favorite emoji.

That emoji- keyboard may sound a bit strange, but is quite logical if you look at another feature of the app: Swype can recommend one based on words emoji. The company bases its predictions on input from users and now there is a complete and separate keyboard for those emoji that prediction will only work better. The Swype keyboard is now available for download for Android from Google Play and cost you 0.75 euros. Of course, the app contains in-app purchases in the new Swype Store.
