Grants Android beveiligingsapp Cerberus expired yet – Tweakers

Users with free ‘lifetime’ licenses of Cerberus, the beveiligingsapp Android, reporting that the validity of those licenses still is about to expire. The developer can not sustain it from a financial point of view to maintain the free licenses.

Cerberus From time to time shared LSDroid, the developer of Cerberus anti theft, free unlimited valid licenses from their application. Thus, the company was able to increase the popularity of the extended anti-theft app. Now, however, some users will still be in the web interface to see that their license is about to expire and that they can get a new one for 4.99 euros.

Across Android Police developers have an official given reaction. They offer their apologies for returning to their promises, but argue that it is simply not cope to offer their service is actually unlimited. The free licenses expire after 3 years. They hope users in that 3 free years have convinced the app is worth 4.99.

While today’s users with Android Device Manager can find their devices put on lock and wipe, provides Cerberus more functionality than that. The app allows you to take screenshots, take pictures and videos remotely, to make audio recordings, retrieve data on mobile and WiFi networks, asking the Belgian history and to perform remote shell commands. The app is also possible to hide and can Wipe survive.
