7 ways to share large files through Android – Macworld

Super Beam is one of the best ways to send a large file to another (located in the same room as you). The app uses Wi-Fi Direct. There are of course many more apps that use this protocol, but this app has by far the best implementation of all

.

You will therefore have to install the app and the receiver will the app on his device must have to get started. Fortunately, there is also a free version that you now and then craft an ad.

You can initiate a transfer via NFC or QR code. Open the “share” menu and select Super Android Beam. Hold the phones together (or let the receiver scan your QR code if they do not have a device with NFC) can begin and transmission. If you’re both on the same Wi-Fi network, the transfer will take place via the Wi-Fi network. Otherwise, Super Beam will set up an ad-hoc network (via Wi-Fi Direct) and will send the file that way.

The files are then sent directly without using (cloud) services third parties. This Super Beam is a lot safer than other services. If you want to see ads, you will have to shell out € 1.71 for the PRO version.
