Hidden in the code of Android N is the ability to put applications in separate windows. With a detour, this mode also now activate all.
With the Android Developer Preview N we can already taste some new features of the operating system. You can see the seven most important innovations in Android N reading. Yet there is still more hidden in the code of Android N as a freeform window mode where you can run applications in separate windows. This goes a step further than the split screen mode lets you put two apps side by side. A detour is the freeform window mode now activate all.
The freeform window mode works like a desktop computer in which each window has its own size and is freely moved around the screen, but on a smartphone or tablet. For example, it looks like what is doing Remix OS, the Android-based operating system for desktop computers. Once the mode is activated, there on the display of recently opened apps at any app next to a cross a square. Pressing this square is this app to a new screen where sent app is floating as a separate window.
A separate screen is logical, because the focus of internal memory should be on applications and not the underlying system. Each window gets on the new screen a bar at the top which makes them easy to drag. The windows size are adjustable by dragging an edge. In the recent apps screen are now, as seen in the above screenshot is shown the open windows. Interestingly enough work this new mode also with a mouse, making an Android tablet can really feel like a good replacement for a desktop computer to work with.
Freeform mode Activate
This mode activate is not for everyone. The code is hidden deep in Android N and there is some work required to get it working. You first need a device with an unlocked bootloader Android where N is installed on a computer with fastboot. Then you’ll be doing a flash recovery through the computer, and then start in recovery mode the device and modify code in Android N. For detailed instructions, we refer you to Ars Technica.
the fact that this mode is now incorporated in the code of Android N does not mean that we can expect it to be put into the final version of the operating system. Google, the function can still internally testing. Yet it fits well into Google’s strategy to get Android and Chrome OS closer together. It would make Android a more flexible platform for working at a desk and use on the move.
