Android N: so see the notifications and quick settings from there – Android World

Our colleagues of Android Police have been able to see an already early builds of the upcoming Android N and have different mockups created how it could look like. We see, among other notifications with more details and other quick settings menu.

Android N

How Android N fully be called is now just guesswork, but that this year we again will see new Android version is only logical. Android 5.0 Lollipop were done by Google several changes to the appearance of Android, amongst others in the quick settings menu. Android Police has now placed several mockups based on an early version of Android N they already have to see.

Mockups

The website describes, among other things, that there will be changes in appearance the notification screen that you see when you pull down the notification bar. Besides visual changes will be also displayed information. The Quick Settings menu has also changed substantially, thus making it easier to adjust the toggles this. Quick settings that you use less often can be placed on a second page, reports Android Police, where you simply can swipe it.

Notifications

The first thing to notice is that the notifications to the taking full width of the screen, where in Android 6.0 Marshmallow is not yet the case. Also, there is less space available between the individual notifications, as shown in the screenshots below. On the left we see the mockup current notification screen of Android 6.0 and the right based on the early build of Android N.

Icons of relevant apps are smaller than it is today and some text elements can get a tan. In addition, there is more information on the application of which the report shows. Above the notification screen is now also seen a bar that allows you to instantly adjust various settings. It may be that you can use this all on your own non Nexus device, but that’s been a choice of the manufacturer of the brand of your phone.

Quick settings

in the first screenshot was quick settings, also called quick settings, all to see, but Android Police has also made a mockup of the screen, without any notifications. When you open this panel you will see a nice animation called the website and here we see that the full width of the screen is used. The option was to dive in further WiFi or Bluetooth Settings no longer present.

Bottom right shows an ‘Edit’ button, which indicates that you are about yourself, you go set up, but the website did not go in. We also see at the bottom two dots in the middle, just like you often see on homescreens or appdrawer and points to the use of multiple pages. According to Android Police, you can thus create a second page, which toggles are that you do not use very often.

Google I / O

Finally, we read that there is a appdrawer in the mockup icon is used. There will be rumors that Google from Android N appdrawer not want to use anymore. Last week there appeared another official video of the search giant, where such a button was not seen again, but Google released later know this movie was a mock-up, as we have already suggested. We must also consider that the version of Android N is seen was an early build, making it possible that there is still everything is adjusted in appearance. Details on the successor to Android 6.0 Marshmallow’ll come out ahead of the Google I / O, we can not wait
