Google launches first Android N Update – TechTastic

Google today released the first update to the Android N Developer Preview released. The Android N can be installed manually by flashing an image, but the update will be offered through the over-the-air capabilities of Android. This new version of Android, build NPC56, is available for the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9 and Nexus 6.

If you have never had an image installed on an Android smartphone, then it’s probably wise to wait until the update is offered wireless. In terms of functionality brings this new Android N updated nothing new and presumably just about improving performance and eliminating discovered problems.

Google everyone knew to surprise last week by the Android N Developer Preview from to bring to recent Nexus smartphones and tablets, while it was expected that the operating system until May at the Google I / O conference would be announced. The company wants to give developers and manufacturers additional time so that the update at launch will be readily available for more devices. It is expected that the final version will be publicly released in the third or four quarter of 2016.

Users of Nexus 5X, 6P Nexus, Nexus 9 or Nexus 6 can themselves try the updates this year. All you need to do is sign up for Android Beta program, then you need to download a piece of software that installs the Android N update on your smartphone or tablet. Future updates to the beta can then be installed wirelessly
