This is evident from data from statistics collector App Annie.
Android users downloaded last year, 60 percent more apps from Google Play then that iOS users did from the App Store. Last year Google Play barely bigger than the App Store. Exact numbers are not given.
The revenue from the App Store, however, is still 70 percent higher than from Google Play. Regarding revenue from paid apps and in-app purchases grow both application stores almost as quickly.
App Annie also shares the most popular apps on both platforms combined. Facebook dominates that list. The company stands with Facebook Messenger, Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram on the first to fourth place. Skype follows in fifth place.

If we look at the apps Most sales (excluding games) Facebook but is nowhere because all apps are free and have no in-app purchases. Line chat app is number 1. The line to be sold include stickers that users can send to each other.
Candy Crush Saga was in 2014 on the popular Android and iOS game terms the number of downloads. Clash of Clans was the app with the most revenue. In that list is Candy Crush in third place.

TomTom
TomTom is the only Dutch app developer who is mentioned in the report. The navigation apps provide a lot of sales.
Although App Annie mentions no exact figures, it is known that TomTom 9th place state of the app developers with most sales in Brazil. In France TomTom place on 8 and in Germany and the United Kingdom in place 7. Dutch frames were not disclosed.
