HTC Desire 826 official: ultra pixel selfiecam and Android 5.0 – Android World

HTC has presented at CES a new Desire variant, but so far only for the US and Asian markets. The Desire 826 contains a FrontCam 4.1 Ultra Pixels and is delivered with Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The new HTC Desire 826 is a new member in the family of HTC Desire and contains some minor changes compared to the Desire 816, 820 Desire and Desire Eye . The unit contains the 64bit Snapdragon 615 chipset with eight cores, 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The screen of 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a microSD card slot present to extend cheap internal memory. There are two SIM card slots available, and both slots can use a SIM card with an LTE connection. On the back you will find a 13-megapixel camera, but on the front there is again to find something new. On the front are also two Tree Sound speakers, just like the Desire EYE, hidden and this time with support for Dolby Audio. The unit is supplied as standard with Android 5.0 Lollipop, the latest version of Android.

Ultra Pixels

Where the Desire 820 is equipped with a conventional 8-megapixel camera and the Desire Eye even photo shoots in a resolution of 13 meagpixels the Desire 826 is equipped with an Ultra Pixel camera. This Ultra Pixel camera we know of include the HTC One (M7), the unit which HTC unveiled this new technology. Photos are shot in a resolution of 4.1 megapixels, but the Ultra Pixel Technology on enhanced lighting and pictures that look better in low light conditions.



Availability

The unit will first body only in the US market and are available in some Asian countries. Through the US website HTC is possible to register for more information on the availability in the Netherlands and Belgium, but whether that means that the unit will also be conducted here is the question.
