Whatsapp comes with web version for Android and Windows Phone users – NU.nl

The browser version can be found on web.whatsapp.com. It explains how Android, Windows Phone and Blackberry users can link their app to the web service.

Whatsapp director Jan Koum puts on Facebook that iPhones can not be linked to the web service by “platform limitations of Apple.” He does not explain what this exactly means it.

Whatsapp Web only works in Google Chrome. Other browsers are not supported. The browser only displays a copy according Koum of conversations on a smartphone, so there is still not made online backup calls. The web version does not seem to work for all users. A test of NU.nl appears that the necessary QR code scanner still does not appear on multiple Android devices.

This can be forced by uninstalling and reinstalling the app from Google Play. It is however to be recommended to create a backup of all messages

.

Then under the Whatsapp menu of the ‘Whatsapp Web’, which allows users scan the appropriate QR code.

Also on Windows Phone, the function already works.
