OnePlus has Android 5.0 (Lollipop) made available for its popular One phone. These it is a test version that still contains many errors.
The test version, called by OnePlus ‘Lollipop Android Alpha’ is now available as custom ROM for the users of the OnePlus One. The official OnePlus forum to read that the Chinese smartphone manufacturer started working with Android Lollipop Alpha in response to the recent problems with CyanogenMod. Thus, the latter the software in a number of countries no longer want to maintain.
However, it is important to know that it is a version of Android 5.0, which is not finished yet. Therefore, there are still a lot of bugs present, though OnePlus do plan to resolve them. When the software is ready for the general public, it is possible that ‘ie over-the-air update is sent to all users.
The alpha ROM is strongly reminiscent of the stock Android lollipop that example found on the Nexus 6, though the operating system in some parts slightly adjusted. Thus, it is possible to choose from physical buttons and digital variations on the screen of the device. Currently running the OnePlus One still standard CyanogenMod, the most popular alternative Android version. The operating system is based on Android 4.4 (KitKat) and standard gives users more control over Android.
