Android malware steals credit card information using Google ad network – NU.nl

Svpeng like Kaspersky has named the newly discovered malware, downloading itself instantly when the device is infected. The user does not start or click on.

When the virus has been able to give themselves to appropriate the necessary rights, it will try to steal the payment information of the user. Also, read the text messages, in case the bank sends a code via SMS.

The vulnerability is currently not addressed by Google. Users can protect themselves by installing only authenticated websites to allow apps.
