Google launched this year a preview of Android 7.0 Nougat, so the upcoming operating system could be tested on different devices before the start of the public rollout. At present, Android 7.0 can be tested on virtually all recent Nexus, Sony Xperia Z3 Sony Xperia X Performance, and now also the LG G5 added to this list.
LG announced this Wednesday that the flagship, the LG G5, the next smartphone is running Android 7.0 Nougat can be tried. At time of writing, the update only available in home country South Korea, but we suspect that the ROM of this version very soon will be presented at the forum of XDA Developers.
The preview program makes moreover, no part of Google’s Android Program, and this new version is also standard with LG’s own GUI. We therefore expect that the appearance of the interface will not be rigorously different with this new version of LG UX. LG did not reveal yet what features are added to the LG UX interface with the arrival of Android 7.0 nougat.
In addition, LG also said that public version of Android 7.0 Nougat will be rolled out in a few weeks to LG G5. Incidentally, the G5 will not be the only smartphone company with Android 7.0, because the LG V20 will be announced on September 6 as the flagship for the second half of the year. LG recently confirmed that this model out of the box running on Android 7.0 Nougat, and considering that the G5 and V20 are powered by the Snapdragon 820-soc is likely that both versions are not much of each will differ in terms of software.
