by , source: Sony Xperia Blog

Last month, there was talk of Sony’s Xperia beta program that would stop. This program was designed to test Android 6.0 on Xperia smartphones, but should now switch to the new version of Android. It is now also stopped, except for one smartphone. The top model of the new X-series.

The Xperia X Performance being given solely a beta version of Android 7.0 made available. To join the program, it can be downloaded its app that you can subscribe to it. When the list of participating countries includes the Netherlands, so if there is a vacancy, Android Nougat can be tested. The quantity of places is limited and participation also does not necessarily mean you can immediately get to work. You must also be selected by Sony for testing.

It is expected that Sony progressively more smartphones add to the program, noting that it usually is restricted to the highest positioned models. Also, there needs to be told that installing beta software of course is your own responsibility. The software is indeed still in testing phase and may entail some problems.

Currently, the app is not yet in the Dutch Google Play Store. This would soon have to be the case.
