So flash your Samsung Galaxy Tab S to Android 6.0 – Macworld

Samsung has indicated that there is no update to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) will be rolled out for Galaxy Tab S tablets. SamMobile reported yesterday that Samsung has let Facebook know yet to issue an update for the tablet

.

This was a bit of a surprise for many users as it had been previously told that it was working on a marshmallow version of Android for the S tabs.

it’s a common argument in Android related discussions and the decision of Samsung is adding fuel to the fire for the naysayers. The update policy of the average Android manufacturer is not anything to write home about and the fragmentation (not only manufacturers but also service providers) is the update policy even more difficult.

A common argument is that Android as ” open “and gives users much freedom that they themselves can customize their devices and update as the manufacturer thus stops. That’s right, indeed, except that the average consumer does not itself save the update. Moreover, not every manufacturer happy there and this is usually blocking against by bootloaders.

Fortunately, there is a huge community behind Android and it is almost always possible to unlock the bootloader and get to work to go with custom ROMs. In addition, some manufacturers have later yet released the bootloader so that the weather has become a little easier to flash things.

In almost all cases it is true that you will lose your warranty and you can no longer turn to the retailer or manufacturer if things go wrong. So, look before you leap.
