Just days after the release of Android 7.0 Android 7.1 Nougat pops up. The model has appeared in the Android Developer Console, the place where application developers can upload an app to the Play Store.
There is a suspicion that Android 7.1 will be the first Maintenance Release for the mobile operating system. There have been going longer rumors that Google plans to launch this Maintenance Releases: quarterly software update that bug fixes, security patches and minor tweaks to bring smartphones. It is not yet clear what these MRs do with the version of Android; it may be that Android 7.1 represents 7 (nougat) Maintenance Release 1.
The first Maintenance Release Android 7.0 Nougat is expected by the end of this year.
