Google is going to start later this week to roll out the Android 6.0 update for the Nexus Marshmallow 5, 6 Nexus, Nexus 7 (2013), 9 Nexus and Nexus 9 . Manufacturers of other Android smartphones since last week also started publishing their plans regarding the release of the update. On the list that can be found at Motorola’s brought out are however a few negative surprises
The following Motorola smartphones will be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow:. Moto X Style, Moto X Play, Moto G (2015) Moto X (2014), Moto G (2014) and the Moto G 4G (2014). This list is missing the Nexus 6, but this unit is directly by Google updated and not by Motorola, this device can this week to face the Android 6.0 update.
Interestingly enough, lacking both Moto E units and Also Android 6.0 Marshmallow is not being made for the first generation Moto G and Moto X, while the first-mentioned device in terms of hardware is identical to the Moto G (2014), apart from the slightly larger screen. In addition, the second generation Moto E only just months available and the device by Motorola yet launched with the promise that it would remain the smartphone with updates.
In the above video, says marketing manager Magno Herran of Motorola follows: “Other smartphones in this price range not receive updates, but we will not forget you and we will make sure that your Moto E up-to-date.”
Motorola has otherwise okay hedged, as is the fine print to read the Moto E (2015) received at least one update. At the time of launch, the device turned on Android 5.0 lollipop and now Motorola has the budget smartphone updated to Android 1.5 Lollipop. It has therefore fulfilled the promise, despite the decision by many Moto E users as a big disappointment will be considered.
It is not entirely clear when the other Motorola smartphones will be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but the company says that more information is brought out in the coming weeks about the exact schedule. Furthermore, the company that also announced the development stops of some apps and services that provide the same functionality that is already in Android 6.0 built in, or where many alternative solutions for them.
This means Motoring Assist in Android 6.0 Marshmallow is gone, as Motorola Migrate and the Chrome extension in Motorola Connect. It looks like that the last influence of Motorola on the Android software will disappear
