Microsoft renews Outlook for Android and iOS – NU.nl

This Thursday, Microsoft has written to the Office Blog. According to Microsoft, there are nearly thirty million people who actively use Office on mobile devices.

Microsoft has functions acquired in February calendar app Sunrise and acquired in December emailapp Acompli integrated.

Appearance

Microsoft has changed the look of Outlook for iOS. For instance, icons for events, marked mails and attachments more prominent.

Also, it should be easier to add attachments and is added to an extensive calendar.

Android is the appearance of Outlook ‘fitting’ to the operating system, Microsoft said. Also on Android phones is the Sunrise integrated calendar and icons are clearly visible.

Substitute

Not all functions are integrated with Sunrise. Microsoft says it to do. Outlook could in the future replace the Sunrise app.

The updated Outlook is already available on iOS and Android is in early November. When Windows Phones receive an update is not yet clear.
