“Android will also run on your laptop ‘- RTL Z

Google has been working for two years in secret to merge its besturingssysteeem for mobile devices (Android) and PCs (Chrome OS)

That reports at least The. Wall Street Journal based on anonymous sources. Google has been working to conquer the PC market, and try it with cheap laptops with Chrome OS. By combining this software with Android there must be some kind of super-operating system emerged, with the desktop functionality of Chrome OS and the app selection of Android.

The main advantage of the combination of Android and Chrome OS is that PC users suddenly have access to the wide range of Google Play. So you can on your smartphone, tablet and laptop use the same apps and settings, so you have the same setting on each device to work.

new strategy
Google has been working to bring the desktop Android apps. So you can all Android apps run inside the Chrome browser, but there is still not much used. By Android really integrate into the desktop system, Google hopes it keeps people in its ecosystem of apps.

The Internet giant is not the first company to try this strategy. Also, Ubuntu maker Canonical and Microsoft are working on an operating system that takes on different devices. Windows 10 here is the most recent example of which runs on both PCs, mobile devices and game consoles.

2017 The name
would like to use Google Chrome only the browser. It is not yet clear how the new OS will be called:. Android or just a very new name

It is expected that Google unveils the new operating system in 2017. Possibly an early version where developers can get to work released next year.
