Talk to your watch

Until now, it was on smart watches that run on Android Wear not possible to use a 4G connection . Android Wear also supported the call a smart watch not, partly because there was no support for speakers. The LG Watch Urbane 2nd edition runs according to the press release of LG on ‘Android Wear (Cell connected version). This update to Android Wear has not been announced or available, but after the announcement of LG we expect that Google will be hearing from them.

The new Watch Urbane runs on the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset as its predecessor, but has more onboard memory (768 MB compared to 512 MB). The most notable change is that the screen is getting a major upgrade. The resolution is 320 by 320 pixels to 480 by 480. Because LG uses a P-OLED screen, you are assured of bright colors and excellent black levels.

The battery of the Watch Urbane 2nd edition also gets a big upgrade, this goes from 410 mAh to 570 mAh, almost 40% more capacity so. This will be used partly by the 4G connection and sharper image, but it’s good to see that compensated for it. It implies that the smart watch seems to be going quite thick, namely 14.2 millimeters. That is a lot thicker than the first Watch Urbane which is thick 11 millimeters.
