Google has announced its monthly figures on the use of various Android versions. This month we again see a rise in the proportion of Android Lollipop devices and a decrease in the older Android versions.

The distribution figures are monthly released mainly for developers . Thus this a better choice as to which Android versions they want support in making applications. Bank information will be based on devices that access the Google Play Store. When a device to the Google Play Store has opened in the last 7 days, this is reflected in the statistics. The idea behind this is that the potential audience of developers consists only of devices that actually visit the Play Store
Android KitKat remains greatest
Just like last month, Android 4.4, KitKat is the largest Android version. All older Android versions, including KitKat, this month received a lower share, while the share of Android 5.1, the latest version of Lollipop, rose by almost 3 percent.
Next month we will be the first the latest version of Android, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, welcomed many of the distribution numbers. This version is from Monday rolled out Nexus devices and the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P have also released the first devices running standard on Android 6.0.
